Oh, God can't help you now. I have a NUMBER of gems from that group. There was one who wrote that poverty spread across the South (after the Civil War) "like plague butter on toast" - he was never able to adequately explain exactly what plague butter was or why you would want to put it on toast.

And I simply failed outright the student who wrote that African Americans were dumb.
